The Maryland Zoo

What else can you do there? Have you ever considered adopting an animal? Well, here you have the opportunity to adopt one. In 2006, the Zoo celebrated its 130th anniversary with the introduction of a new Victorian themed carousel. This carousel features 30 unique and exquisitely designed animals and you can contribute your part by “adopting” one of the carousel animals. You can use a family name, or you can gift the animal to honor friends or relatives. It can be a nice experience for you as a family, and it will teach your kids to cherish the environment we live in.

What else can you do in The Maryland Zoo? I think that the main thing would be to actually see the animals that you cannot find at home. How about porcupine, lion, monkey, okapi, penguin, owl, antelope, ostrich, cheetah and much more?
