Walters-Boone County Historic Museum

Our historical museum and art gallery, located in beautiful Nifong Park, celebrates the unique cultural heritage of mid-Missouri with exhibits and programs.

Since 2005, the Village at Boone Junction has been a planned village of historic homes, each native to Boone County.
Each structure showcases an era and the lifestyle of Boone Countians past, from 1818 through 1930. Explore 200 years of local history with a guided tour of the Village at Boone Junction! Tours are available by appointment April through October. Fee.

All together the History Galleries display areas comprise the 5,500 square feet of historical exhibit space. Open year-round, there are generally multiple history exhibits on display, with each exhibit retiring after a 4-to-12-month period to make room for a new exhibit.
