Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue & Rehabilitation C

For more than ten years volunteers with the Topsail Turtle Project have monitored the beaches of Topsail Island, staking off and protecting the nests of endangered sea turtles. As the tiny hatchings emerge from their nests after about 60 days of incubation in the warm sand, the volunteers are there to make sure that the little turtles make it safely to the water.
