Mattamuskeet Foundation

The Mattamuskeet Foundation, Inc. was founded on February 9, 1995, as a nonprofit membership organization, approved for tax exempt status under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The mission of the Foundation is to engage in educational and research activities to preserve, publish, and otherwise tell the stories of the rich history and ecology of Lake Mattamuskeet and surrounding areas of eastern North Carolina.
