1911 Wright “B” Flyer

The Wright "B" Flyer was constructed to honor the accomplishments of the Wright Brothers and promote Dayton, Ohio as the "Leader in Flight". The original Wright B Flyer was designed to provide pilot training and reconnaissance for the US Army Signal Corps from 1911 to 1914. The hangar/museum, with the aircraft, is open to the public during the normal hours of operation, free of charge, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM. No appointment is necessary during normal hours of operations; other times are availible by appointment.

** Come check out our new Wright-B flight simulator! ** Memorabilia and souvenirs are availible for a nominal donation at the hangar/museum. The Wright "B" Flyer organization can be contacted at (937) 885-2327 or by E-mail: [email protected]
