Balsam Mountain Inn

Relax, rock on our porches, recapture another era, revel in comfort. and romp in our mountains. Nestled in the Great Smoky Mountains and just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. The historic inn was built in 1908 to serve the highest railway depot. It was restored in 1991 and now offers 50 cheerful rooms, two 100 foot porches with a splendid view, a 2.000 volume library and gracious dining. Plump pillows and soft comforters inspire pleasant dreams while the friendly staff attends to your every need. Guest enjoy the spacious lobby with 2 toasty fireplaces, wicker furniture, and oriental rugs, as well , hallways are filled with the work of talented local artists. The Seven Springs Restaurant on site serves breakfast and dinner daily and lunch on Sunday from noon until 2 pm.
