Beckley Iron Furnace & Educational Center

The furnace is the focal point of the Iron Heritage Trail, celebrating the 1734-1923 era when local furnaces and forges made iron for cannons and weapons in wartime and tools, railroad wheels and machinery. The state’s only designated Industrial Monument.
