Bells in Motion Presents “Bronze Noel” concerts

Join Bells in Motion, the nationally-renowned handbell ensemble, as they herald in the holidays with their “Bronze Noel” performances. Two concerts will be presented: Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 7:00PM at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 533 S. Walnut, Springfield; and Sunday, December 5, 2010 at 4:00PM at First Presbyterian Church, 400 E. Carroll, Macomb. Admission is $10 and is payable at the door prior to each concert.

These concerts are sponsored by the R.W. Troxell Insurance Agency, and are partially funded by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council.

With additional instruments such as organ, keyboard, bass and percussion, Bells in Motion will present a wide variety of holiday music to suit every taste. Seasonal favorites such as “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”, “Winter Wonderland”, and “Sleigh Ride” will truly sparkle when played on the bells. The group will also amaze audiences with innovative arrangements of “The Nutcracker Suite” and “Lo How a Rose E’re Blooming”. Finally, a haunting treatment of “Still, Still, Still” will contrast with the spirited “Wizards in Winter”. These works (and more!) will create a truly unique musical experience for all!
