Black Mountain/South Toe Basin

Facilities along the South Toe River, in the Pisgah National Forest, include two recreation areas with camping, picnicking, hiking and wild trout fishing. Most of the trails lead from the river valley to ridgetop of the Black Mountains, the highest range in the East. Swimming and tubing. AC at developed recreation areas.
