Cradle of Forestry in America National Historic Site

This unique historic site, in the heart of Pisgah National Forest, includes the Forest Discovery Center, with hands-on exhibits and an 18-minute film. Paved trails lead past historic cabins, a logging train, and woods where the first forestry school in America operated in the early 1900’s. Craftsmen, guided tours, helicopter simulator and interpretive programs. Admission charge
