Darlington County Historical Commission

The historical commission offers a diverse amount of information for researchers in the fields of history and genealogy pertaining to Darlington County. Among these are courthouse records on the people and lands, agriculture, manufacturing, industry, historical sites, miscellaneous Revolutionary War records and tourism data. Included in its photograph collection is a photograph of Henry “Dad” Brown who as a free Black was a drummer for three Confederate regiments during the Civil War.
