El Dorado Lake Trout Fishing

From October 15 to April 15, rainbow trout are stocked in the Walnut River channel below the dam. The trout are stocked on a bi-monthly rotation and have become a favorite of many local anglers. A trout permit is required to fish in the area and anglers may take a limit of five trout per day. The possession limit of trout is 15. Trout fishing is only permitted between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m..
