First Baptist Church

When the original First Baptist Church of Protection was built in 1908, it was a wood frame structure that was the largest and best in the country at that time.

In 1953, the present church with its impressive Gothic style architecture of brick and stone catches your eye immediately as you enter Protection’s downtown area. The stained glass windows set on three sides of the sanctuary were given as memorials to families.
