Five Rivers MetroParks

Five Rivers MetroParks is a nationally renowned system composed of parks, river corridors and pathways. Formed in 1963 to serve the Greater Dayton, Ohio area, MetroParks now offers 25 outstanding public facilities and over 14,000 acres for year-round recreation, education and conservation. Facilities are available to the public free-of-charge — made possible by voter passage of "Parks 21", as well as grants and donations.

Visitors will find many habitats including prairies, forests, and wetlands that support diverse wildlife. Also offered are nature & visitor centers; entertainment and recreation venues such as RiverScape MetroPark and Island MetroPark; an historical farm at Carriage Hill MetroPark; Cox Arboretum & Gardens MetroPark; the 2nd Street Public Market, Adventure Central at Wesleyan MetroPark, Five Rivers Outdoors (the outdoor initiative of Five Rivers MetroParks), and many more diverse and unique facilities. Experience nature at its best… Where ever you are in Montgomery County, you're never more than 15 minutes from a MetroPark.

Natural splendor awaits you at every turn, from forests to meadows, with miles of beautiful trails and streams that link us to nature. Five Rivers MetroParks…"It's Our Nature."
