Fort Waynesville Marker

Historical marker, marking where Fort Waynesville was located. The fort, built on a bluff in 1862 provided protection to the Union Army during the civil war. Beautiful scenic view over looks the valley of Waynesville to Interstate I-44 between mile markers 159 and 157.
