Historic Downtown Marshall

Marshall is enshrined in the Ripley?s Believe It or Not records as the town that cannot grow because it is sandwiched between the French Broad River and steep mountain bluffs. It has kept its old time charm and has been featured in various films for it, such as My Fellow Americans and All The Real Girls. Some highlights of town are the county courthouse, revered for its impressive cupola, built in 1907; the Train Depot now used for Friday night dances, and an authentic country store selling everything from overalls to produce to handmade soaps and pottery. Enjoy a driving tour of the town and county.
