Lincoln Douglas Debate Museum

Tour the only museum in Illinois retracing the senatorial debates of 1858 between Abraham Lincoln and Stephen Douglas. The museum offers exhibits and interactive displays that tell the story of the debates through film, audio selections, artifacts and photos.

The museum also includes a Children’s Hands-On Area, a Gift Shop, and a life-size sculpture of Lincoln and Douglas. The museum participates in a State of Illinois Heritage Tourism project called “Looking for Lincoln.”
