Living History Park

This 7.5 acre park with natural springs, formally the site of North Augusta waterworks, now provides children with hands-on educational experience into the history of the area. The site includes the springhouse tavern and bake ovens, housed in the original pumphouse with a shake shingle roof, a stage area for performances, an in-ground cook pit, smoke house, treenware maker, milliner, blacksmith’s forge, military encampment with Colonial Militia and other period crafts demonstrations. Park also provides outlets for recreation.
