Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church

Begun in 1866 as a brush arbor church, built of poles, tree branches and bushes by freed slaves. The first wooden structure was built by the church’s congregation in 1874. It was replaced by the current brick Romanesque Revival building in 1913.

Please call the church or the Chester County library (803-377-8145) for detailed directions and more information.
