Miller Ferry to Put-in-Bay & Middle Bass Island

Miller Boat Line provides passenger and car ferry service from Catawba to the Lake Erie Islands of Put-in-Bay & Middle Bass Island. The trip to Put-in-Bay (also known as South Bass Island) takes 18 minutes, with summer trips every half hour as late as 9:00 pm.

Choose to park your car in a free mainland lot. You can rent a golf cart or bike, hop a bus or tour train, or grab a cab. Or you can take your vehicle to Put-in-Bay, no reservations required but some restrictions apply.

Put-in-Bay is home to attractions including Perry’s Memorial, historic museum, caves, Butterfly House, family entertainment, camping, fishing charters, hovercraft and boat tours, kayak rentals, tours to Gibraltar Island and the South Bass Island Lighthouse.

The 40 minute trip to Middle Bass gives pasengers a chance to view several Lake Erie Islands, as well as Ohio and Canada shoreline. Vehicles reservations are required for Middle Bass by calling 800-500-2421. Passenger reservations are not needed for either island. Middle Bass is known for cottages, brewery, live entertainment and lodgings.
