Morgan Kitchen Plantation Museum
MORGANS KITCHEN PLANTATION MUSEUM (CA. 1846).Located on MacCorkle Ave.(U.S. Rt. 60) across from Parkway Terrace in St. Albans, WV, Morgan’s Kitchen Plantation Museum is typical of log structures used during its period. It was originally located at Morgan’s Plantation near the present John Amos Power Plant located nearby. It was used to serve meals as well as serving as a hospital to the wounded Union soldiers during the Civil War at the battle of Scary Creek nearby. oved to this site in 1972. and open for tours in the Summer on Sundays and site of the Annual Morgan’s kitchen Fall Festival the 2nd Saturday of October.. Operated by the St. Albans Historical Society (WV)
