Oak Creek Trailhead
A corridor once used by the Union Pacific Railroad, the Oak Creek Trail is now part of the American Discovery Trail route through Nebraska. The 12 mile swath of crushed limestone begins in Valparaiso and winds through the North Oak Creek Valley to the high ridges at Loma. Offering a unique and breathtaking vista at every curve, Oak Creek Trail continues to Brainard and concludes at a flat plain south of town.
Hikers, bikers, horse riders, and cross-country skiers can all travel Nebraska’s recreational trails that serve modern adventurers.
