Ozark National Scenic Riverways, National Park Service

Extends along 134 miles of the Current (100 miles) and Jacks Fork (34 miles) Rivers in the Ozark Highlands of southeastern Missouri. The rivers are identified both federally and by the state as Outstanding Natural Resource Waters, affording them the highest level of protection. Typified by narrow steep-sided hollows, numerous streams, and bluffs. Much of area is underlain by soluble limestone and dolomite, giving rise to sinkholes, caves, and springs of classic karst topography.
