Page Farm and Home Museum

The Page Farm and Home Museum collects, documents, preserves, interprets and disseminates knowledge of Maine history relating to farms and farming communities between 1865 and 1940. Thousands of patrons come to the Museum each year to learn about the industry, agriculture, economy, and home-life of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The Museum complex contains an 1833 post and beam barn, the last original agricultural building on the University campus, an 1855 one-room schoolhouse, carriage house, blacksmith shop and ~ acre heritage garden. Heirloom varieties of herbs, flowers, and vegetables are cultivated here. Open 9-4 Tuesday through Friday, 11-4 Saturday and Sunday. Guided tours are available.
