Paint Creek State Park
Paint Creek State Park is located in Highland & Ross Co., about 20 mi. southwest of Chillicothe. Hidden in the Paint Creek Valley, the lake invites nature lovers to relax in a natural setting.
Hike 8 mi. of nature trails, ride your horse on 25 mi. of bridle trails, or mountain bike on 14 mi. of trails. Picnic areas provide tables & grills. A reservable shelter is available.
Nature center programs provide summer entertainment.
1,200-acre Paint Creek Lake offers a sand beach. All boating is permitted w/no hp limit. Fuel, seasonal dock & boat rentals are available. Three launch ramps provide easy access.
Fishing for bass & crappie is enjoyed from the shore, fishing pier, or the lake. Hunting permitted in designated areas & nearby wildlife area.
199 campsites with electric. Amenities are showers, restrooms, laundry facilities & mini golf. Pets permitted on designated sites. Try camping in a Camper Cabin.
2006 Camping Fees are $22-$24/night. Camper Cabin is $50/night. Reservations: 1-866-OHIO-PARKS.
