Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge

The 5000-acre refuge protects coastal wetlands from Cape Elizabeth to Kittery. Over 350 species of birds, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians have been observed on the refuge. Interpreted trail at HQ. Information is available in the office from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; limited hours on weekends in the summer. Visit http://rachelcarson.fws.gov.
