Rachel Carson Walks – White Grass

Jan 28 – Nature thru Photography 1 pm Leaders: Jonathan Jessup and Vern Patterson

Feb 4 – Winter Wildlife Tracks -1 pm Wildlife tracking is a great way to learn about nature, get outdoors in the winter and introduce children to nature study. This walk will be led by USFWS Biologist Ken Sturm and will help celebrate the year of Rachel Carson’s 100th Birthday. Carson is known for her many books, including ” A Sense of Wonder” in which she encourages families to introduce their children to nature through experiential learning. We will look for wildlife tracks in the snow and enjoy being outdoors in the beautiful Canaan Valley.
