River of Time Museum

If you enjoy history, whether you live in Fountain Hills or are just visiting, a visit to the River of Time Museum is a “must see.” The museum tells the story of the Verde River Valley from prehistoric times to the present, including a good section on the development of the town of Fountain Hills. It has sophisticated displays of artifacts from all eras of our history, from early Native American pots to early Fountain Hills memorabilia. Exhibits include the Hohokam Exhibit, Miners Exhibit, Storyteller in the Waterfall, Prehistoric Exhibit, Ranchers Exhibit, Native American Exhibit, and the Fort McDowell Exhibit.

Gift Shop:
The museum has a gift shop with a wide range of items for sale. Pick up a postcard, an educational toy for the children, a T-shirt or some one of a kind jewelry or a home decoration piece.
