Softball Hall of Fame
Adjacent to the Smith Softball Complex, the Hall of Fame showcases softball
displays and provides information about the Nebraska Amateur Softball
Association and Nebraska Softball Foundation. It pays tribute to the individuals,
organizations, and communities who have contributed to the game of softball
in Nebraska.
Constructed in 1995, the Bill Smith Softball Complex at Prairie Ridge
Park has gained a reputation as one of the premier softball facilities
in the nation. The complex hosts state, regional, and national tournaments,
is home of the Hastings College Lady Bronco softball team and accommodates
the local youth and adult softball leagues.
The Smith Softball Complex boasts:
- Six Lighted softball fields
- "Agri-Lime" infields which absorb moisture and virtually
eliminate rainout games - A "championship field" featuring a 27-foot inning-by-inning
scoreboard - Three-level clubhouse with: restrooms, concessions, souvenir stand,
lounge/bar, game room and mezzanine level observation deck.
In addition to the Smith Softball Complex, Prairie Ridge Park has one
lighted baseball field used by the American Legion baseball program and
