Spavinaw Lake State Park
Spavinaw State Park is one of Oklahoma’s hidden recreational gardens located at the base of the bluffs along Spavinaw Creek just below the dam on the western end of Spavinaw Lake, a 1,636 acre fishing-only lake with 20 miles of shoreline.
The park offers visitors camping, fishing, picnic areas, and swimming. Nearby Spavinaw Wildlife Management Area offers opportunities for hunting and hiking. Picnic facilities include 50 tables and a group shelter. Camping facilities in the park include 26 RV sites with water and electric hookups, 60 regular sites with no utilities, 2 comfort stations, 1 with showers, a playground and swimming beach. Families with small children especially enjoy this park for the shallow water in the swimming area.
