At just over 20,000 acres, the St. Francis is known for the diversity of its plant and animal life. Bear Creek and Storm Creek Lake Recreation Areas provide camping, picnicking, fishing. Crowley’s Ridge National and Great River Road Scenic Byways runs through the forest.
