Sugarcreek MetroPark

Sugarcreek MetroPark is one of 25 facilities within Five Rivers MetroParks, located in the Greater Dayton area.  Three ancient white oak trees — over 550 years old — can be reached by hiking the orange loop trail.  Although in decline, two still survive.  Hikers can also discover the osage orange tunner where gnarled, arching branches create a pathway — then journey through a beech woods, explore a prairie, and discover beautiful spring wildflowers.  Also, a horseback riding center (937-438-5569) and trails are located at the park.
