Sweet Grass Tours

Private group tours are planned and conducted by certified historic guides. Tour focuses on African Americans who have influenced our city, state and nation for over 325 years. Stories, sites, slavery, free persons of color, artisans, architecture, churches, Gullah, sweet grass baskets, heroes and heroines, wars, music and more are shared as you tour on your bus or on walks in the city of Charleston or to a plantation.
