Housed in one of the oldest African American churches in the state, the historic neoclassical Calvary Baptist Church was built by African Americans in 1917 and is now listed on the National Register of Historical Places. The museum is committed “to preserving the history of a great people” through exhibits, cultural programing, youth acytivities/camps, and educational lectures.
