The Orpheum Theatre

The restored vaudeville Orpheum Theatre, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is a monument to the spirit of Galesburg and Knox County – a love of history, the arts and community.

Described as “a veritable house of enchantment” when it opened its doors on August 19, 1916, the Orpheum Theatre continues to be a place of beauty and a showcase for the arts in western Illinois. Tours always welcome.
