Tonganoxie Community Historical Society Museum
The Tonganoxie Community Historical Society (TCHS) owns and operates 10 acres, called the Site, with four buildings. They are The Honey Valley School house, Reno Methodist Church, Fairchild/Knox Dairy barn, which houses the museum in the refurbished milking parlor, and the fire house and fire truck.
Educational programs for local schools are conducted by our school coordinator. Programs include, but are not limited to, history in a one room school house, a silent movie, Kaw & Delaware history, historical artifacts, and a tour of the museum.
The museum and buildings are open to the public every Wednesday 9:00AM – Noon – weather permitting and every Sunday 1:00PM – 4:00PM April through October
