Tour de Elkins

Family Adventure Bicycle Tour de Elkins:

Want a safe, wholesome place to bike with your family? Welcome to our inaugural Family Bicycle Tour of the beautiful hills surrounding Elkins, West Virginia!
Children are welcome! Singles are welcome! Anyone who can ride a bicycle is welcome!

Elkins is headquarters of the 919,000 thousand acre Monongahela National Forest and the trail-head for the Allegheny Highlands Rail-Trail. As such, Elkins lies in the center of a most scenic and idyllic venue for bicycling. Although the town is in the middle of the hilly Appalachian Mountains, there are many enjoyable loop rides throughout the Tygart River Valley, where the terrain is gently rolling.

The Tour’s riding loops of 35-45 miles afford many advantages for families over point to point rides offered elsewhere.
