University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Visitors’ Center

Chartered in 1789 with the cornerstone laid in 1793, the nation’s first state university covers more than 700 acres. The Visitors’ Center conducts historic campus tours Mon-Fri at 1:30 pm. Self-guided tours are available with a walkman and brochures. The tours point out many historical points of interest on the campus.
