West Virginia State Folk Festival

Celebrating WV heritage and traditions. Plenty of food and activities to keep the whole family entertained. Everyone welcome to join the traditional Appalachian music jams during the festival. All activities are “rain or shine”. Our beauty queens are the Belles of WV, ladies over 70.

Hours: Thurs, 4 PM to dark; Fri and Sat: 10 AM to dark.

Opening reception at the Country Store Museum Thurs at 4 PM; crafts and music on the streets; 7 PM history program; 8 PM square dance; Friday & Saturday, all day, crafts and music on the streets; afternoon contests and workshops; 7 PM music program at GSC; 8 PM square dance. Saturday afternoon parade and car show on Main St. Sunday morning service at Job’s Temple ends the festival.

From Exit 79, I-79, 15 miles west on Rt. 5 to Glenville. Activities are on and adjacent to Main St. and at Glenville State College. Limited parking downtown; parking available at GSC with free van shuttle from the college to Main St.
