Arlington

The first settlement in Caddo Indian territory was Bird’s Fort on Trinity River. In 1845, a trading post was established at Mary le Bone Springs, and about 1876, the town was moved to it’s present site when the railroad was built through Arlington.

Today, “Fun Central,” Arlington is well-known for fun family activities. The city is home to some of Texas’ best-known family fun spots like Six Flags Over Texas, Hurricane Harbor, and Ameriquest Field in Arlington (formerly called The Ballpark in Arlington). Travel to Arlington is easy, as it is centrally located between Dallas and Fort Worth.

Almost 350,000 people make up the city, while the Metroplex is home to almost five million residents.
