Seagraves

Seagraves was founded in 1917 as the terminus of the Santa Fe RR spur from Lubbock. Named for a railroad executive, Seagraves soon became a major cattle shipping point, and today is still the center for area ranches.

The attractive Gaines County Park offers picnicking and playground and golf 7 mi. south on U.S. 62/385.
