Three Rivers

First called Hamiltonburg, the town’s name was changed to Three Rivers due to its site location near the confluence of the Atascosa, Nueces, and Frio rivers. Three Rivers is a commercial center for ranching, hunting, fishing, and oil and gas production.

Annual events include the Choke Canyon Birding Festival the first weekend in February, and the Three Rivers Salsa Festival the first Saturday in April.

Rushing through a place rarely does it justice.
