Logan County

Logan County, and five other neighboring counties, were established at the time of the Land Run to the Unassigned Lands, on April 22, 1889. This was the first part of the Oklahoma Indian Territory opened by the government, and the other parts of the state were opened later. This was a period of time when the Capital of Oklahoma was established in Guthrie, Oklahoma, but it was later moved to Oklahoma City. Crescent is located less than 15 miles from Guthrie.

The extra miles are often where the story begins.
