Anderson Berry Festival

Apr
25

The event is a celebration of the history of the strawberry industry in Anderson. During the early to mid 20th century, the area was known as “the strawberry capitol of the world,” as fruit growers from in and around Anderson shipped more strawberries and fruit out of the area than any other place in the world.

The festival features arts and craft booths, retail & food vendors, a donut eating contest, a Little Miss Strawberry pageant and live entertainment throughout the day. There’s even a 5k run the night before!

The festival starts Saturday morning at 9 am. Main Street in Anderson will be closed starting at the east side of the railroad tracks. Vendors will line the streets, offering all kinds of deals and bargains to shoppers.
