Annual Genoa Candy Dance Arts & Crafts Faire

Sep

The small town of Genoa, Nevada, in the Eastern Sierra foothills will welcome 50,000 to 60,000 visitors to the annual Candy Dance Arts and Crafts Faire. The Faire will feature over 350 juried arts and crafts booths, over 30 food booths and 4000 pounds of Genoa’s famous homemade candy. The Candy Dance dinner and dance will be held in Genoa on Saturday evening. 8am-7pm.

Candy Dance is a tradition that began in 1919 by Genoa resident Lillian Virgin Finnegan, to raise money to purchase street lights for the town. The women would sell their homemade candy during the day and host an evening of fine dinner and dancing to wonderful music just for “Candy Dancin”.

Last full weekend of September each year. 9 A.M.-5 P.M. each day
