Annual Mayfest
A 4-day event that is Caney’s “homecoming.” Program begins on Friday and includes the opening of food and craft booths in Wark Memorial Park on Friday and Caney Valley Historical Society Banquet Friday evening; varied events all day Saturday in Wark Park, including games for kids, food and crafts, vender booths, entertainment, etc.; Quilt and Art show, car show and historical society exhibits in downtown area; the Caney High School Alumni Banquet on Saturday evening; and races at Caney Valley Speedway. Celebration concludes with an inspiring and patriotic Memorial Day program on Monday in Veterans Park across from Sunnyside Cemetery. Music by the Caney Community Singers, color guard, special speaker.
