Annual MINNESOTA GARLIC FESTIVAL

Some of the finest gourmet garlic in the country is grown in MN, and the first bulbs of the 2009 crop will be available at the festival. Sustainable Farming Association uses this as a springboard to launch this event that’s all about small family farms, local food, vital rural communities and a healthy environment in Minnesota.
This family-friendly event features all-day entertainment, including celebrity chefs from the metro area preparing the menu at the festival restaurant and conducting cooking demonstrations under the big tent.
Other attractions include old fashioned kids games, kite flying, a youth art competition, a wide range of stage performers, a fanciful parade with Gertie the Garlic, a cornucopia of fresh local foods, and a festival favorite: garlic ice cream from Cedar Summit Creamery.
Runs from 10 AM – 7 PM.
