Annual National Old Time Country-Bluegrass-Folk Music Festival & Pioneer Expo of Rural Lifestyle

Aug
10–16

Over 650 musicians and performers show up for this seven day event to perform on no less than ten stages from 9am to midnight every day. It’s the largest gathering of acoustic performers and celebrities in the upper Midwest. There are also contests for beginners, jams for in-between, and workshops for the pros. The Rural Roots Music Commission make their annual “CD of the Year” awards. Themed programs and celebrities being inducted into America’s Old Time Country Music Hall of Fame makes for an exciting week of traditional music fun.

Arts and Crafts, a tipi rendezvous village, and some of the best festival food in America. Even seven old-time dances including two-stop to polka, with teachers for those who want to learn. Main-Stage performances are consistently the very best in the music business. No alcohol, no drugs. All of our highs are the ‘real deal’ and that’s ‘real’ music.
