Annual Rails & Trails Days

May
16–17

The first weekend in June gives locals and visitors a chance to travel back in time when covered wagons and the new railroad were the principle means of transportation along the trails that cut through the Fairbury area in southeast Nebraska. Ride on miniature railroad, enjoy exhibits and musical entertainment, flea market and model train displays at the Historic Rock Island Depot.

The Fairbury Rock Island Depot, has been lovingly restored and filled with artifacts recounting the history of the Rock Island Railroad and the local residents who worked out of the Fairbury depot.
