Annual Women’s Health 5 K Run
The Office of Women’s Health Steering Committee is pleased to announce the annual Women’s Health 5K Run and one-mile Mother-Daughter Walk. The slogan for this event is “Women on the Move to Improve Women’s Health.” The 2009 Run is being held at the St. Vincent’s Hospital, 119 Wellness Center, Birmingham, AL, on Saturday, May 9, 2009.
This historic run/walk event will help bring families together to celebrate the health of our grandmothers, mothers, daughters, and sisters. It is anticipated that this event will increase the awareness of women’s health issues in the state of Alabama and highlight resources that are available for health and wellness for women in our state.
